here`s today`s fun fact:

in some parts of mexico, alcoholic beverages cannot be puchurchased during the weekend in which an election happens (as is happening this weekend).

But we all should have known that since we remember when MADV came to visit our classrooms in high school.

 So, after our uber-relaxing, but skin burning day yesterday, today we decided to go on the city tour, it was offered by the resort.  It took us back into the old town and was very fun…

We´re going to lay low for the rest of the afternoon, and once the sun starts to go down..head back to the pool and the beach. 

 Here is where we were yesterday, the place the our skin will never forget:

Its full day number two here on our amazing vacation, right now were at our sister resort, we caught the free shuttle this morning and will head back in time for dinner. This place is amazing, earlier i described it to lydia like a TV dream sequence… Big white columned buildings, larger than life statues, lush green gardens, a slight breeze blowing the palm trees, andthe ocean crashing just a few feet away.. Its pretty amazing, and they have free wifi here.

Yesterday we took the city bus into town and tomorrow were taking a city tour offered by the resort, it should be pretty interesting.

vacation is great.

but im at a internet cafe….. i like paying by the month, not by the minute.

Its been a long (but amazing) summer at camp since things ramped up in mid-May, Nd it feels like things have almost been non-stop since then, so with our final huge weekend of programming behind me, I’m glad to be heading out of town for a little bit for a mich needed vacation. Lydia and I are on our way right now to sunny Mazatlan Mexico. It should be an amazing time and since we are both so busy lately (me with work and Lydia with jobS and school) it will be great to have some time together. I’m not sure how much adventure we will encounter and how much of our time will be spent sleeping on the beach. If we find Internet, I’ll let you know…otherwise, look forward to pictures when we get back!
